Living Room Church (LRC)

LRC aims to rebalance the elements of a fairly standard church service for the sake of deeper formation and connection. If you’re looking to meet some people while learning the Christian faith and discussing real life and faith, this is for you.

What it looks like:

  • LRC typically begins with musical worship, followed by communion, a shorter sermon, and then discussion and prayer in smaller groups. There is a kids ministry time for those ages 3 - 12 during the teaching and discussion time. Parents with younger kids have access to the nursery.

  • We sometimes offer multiple teaching streams so participants can choose a topic most relevant to them.

  • LRC intentionally orients us around the Lord’s supper and shortens the teaching time to make space for discussion. People are welcome to sit quietly and listen. We include discussion because we think many people learn more when they talk about a shorter message than they do listening to a longer one. We also think that many of us need to practice talking about deeper things and spiritual things. These short, small group discussions often help us know one another better and live out the church’s God given calling to be a family.

Is it a fit for me?
